Robert
Downey, Jr. facing drug charges in both Palm Springs and Culver City
has (as expected) reached a plea agreement in the desert case. In
return for pleading no contest to two drug charges, Downey will enter
rehab for up to a year.
Downey reached the agreement after hiring a new legal team and will
plead no contest to one felony count of cocaine possession and a misdemeanor
drug charge.
In spite of the claim that he had been booted off Ally McBeal following
his Culver City arrest, the season finale left open the possibility
of his characters' return. After all, he did rescue the show...and
they'd have to be pretty stpid to throw him out entirely. |
