Sheesh!
I mean, we know that action heroes are just acting, but could Jean
Claude Van Damme have been any more transparent?
According to Popcorn, the
has-been action star was winging his way back from Cannes, but didn't
want to pay for first class fares for his whole family. So what did
he do? Bought a first class fare for himself and business fares for
his wife and kids. Then, once the plane had taken off, he demanded
(loudly) that his wife and kids be allowed to join him in first class
so that, in the event of a crash they could "hold hands."
The flight crew of the British Airways flight were less than impressed
by this, but also (in great British tradition) unwilling to create
a fuss. They permitted him to bring his son into first class, though
his wife and daughter had to stay in business class.
As one passenger commented, " Look pal, if you want to fly first
class, just pay for it." |

68 - Roman
Emperor, Nero commits suicide at the age of 31. Initially
a popular ruler, it didn't take him long to mess things up.
Killing his mother didn't do much for his rep, either.
