Disney
is not having a good year. First there's the Pearl Harbor debacle,
then their other big summer release, Atlantis, has a disappointing
opening weekend, and now it seems their new park is struggling.
California Adventure was opened in February, but interest has been
somewhat underwhelming. It has only managed to attract between 9,000
to 12,000 guests instead of the anticipated 19,000. Time for discount
tickets.
The special discount tickets for Southern California residents are
usually offered in the winter when business is slow. The fact that
they're offering them at peak season is not a good sign. Of course
they're not offering them for DisneyLand, only for California Adventure.
News flash: Southern California residents already live in California!
Why on earth would we want to pony up $33 (that's the discount price)
to see Santa Monica Pier? We can drive to Santa Monica and see the
real pier for free. And it has an actual ocean!
I think the guys at Disney need to take a nice relaxing holiday. They're
starting to gibber. |

1862 - It
was on this day that the Rev. Charles Dodgson told Alice Liddell
and her sisters the story of Alice, who followed a white rabbit
down a hole and entered a magical land. Alice Liddell insisted
that he write it all down.
