Heading for the Big Screen...Again

You've
got to give the Material Girl credit...she doesn't let a little thing
like dismal failure get her down. So she's made a few flicks, and
they've all been...well, disasters. Does she let that stop her from
trying? Of course not! She just marries a director (which is a bit
like buying the factory).
This time around, she and Guy Ritchie have their eyes on a remake
of the 1975 Lina Wertmuller flick, Swept Away. The plot revolves
around a rich woman who is stranded on a desert island with a Communist
deckhand from her yacht. The plot also bears a striking resemblance
to the 1987 Goldie Hawn/Kurt Russell flick, Overboard.
If you think Ritchie can get a better perf out of her than her previous
directors, you can disabuse yourself of that notion right now by taking
a gander at the short film the two of them made for BMW.
