A.I. Tops in Tix

 
     
  To no-one's great surprise, the weekend's top box office spot went to the Spielberg/Kubrick collaboration, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, which snagged an estimated $30.1 million domestically. The robot melo knocked last week's winner, The Fast and the Furious, down to number two with a $20 million estimate. Still, with it's huge opening last weekend, there won't be too many compaints heard.

Dr. Dolittle 2 fell to third place with an estimated $15.4 million take, while Tomb Raider continued its slide, racking up a less than impressive $9.8 million in its third week out. Rounding out the top five was John Singleton's Baby Boy which collected an estimated $8.6 million.
