Troubled
CBS sitcom, Late Bloomers, has bid adieu to Burt Reynolds and
hello to Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap). Bakula has only agreed
to appear in the first episode, however, leaving himself free to take
the captain's chair should Star Trek talks pan out.
Bakula has been the front-runner for the new Trek series for
some time. He initially declined the gig, but discussions have recently
resumed with show producers Paramount TV.
Late Bloomers is about a former NFL quarterback (Bakula) who
opens a bar in Chicago. Markie Post is his ex-wife, while Adam Arkkin
is his friend. Haven't we already seen this...about five billion times?
Better hope Star Trek pans out. |
