TV Tonight:
Monday, October 14th

  by Noah Ruderman

Crossing Jordan (NBC)I'll admit I don't get much of chance to watch Crossing Jordan, especially now that it goes up against a far more exciting hour of forensic science over on CBS. (And looking at this seasons diminishing ratings, I'll bet I'm not the only one.) But there are many out there that are still intrigued by Jill Hennessy's investigations, not the least of which is my own father. (Although he also digs The Fifth Wheel and ElimiDate, so that likely isn't much of an endorsement.) A new episode of this crime drama airs tonight on NBC.

9:00pm
Monday Night Football - ABC (6:00 Pacific) - In his last game, Seattle Seahawk running back Shaun Alexander ran for five touchdowns… in a single half! Tonight he'll face a tougher challenge in the visiting San Francisco 49ers.
Everwood - WB - I was a tad fooled by last weeks promos which seemingly promised some type of sexual adventure for young Ephram (Gregory Smith) and that blonde he had become so enchanted by. But alas, in the world of the serialized television drama, it would not be prudent to bring together the two leads this early in the season (that's what sweeps are for!). Tonight Ephram's little sister, Delia, wonders about the true existence of god. Don't we all.
Third Watch - NBC - Between football, Everybody Loves Raymond and Everwood, I didn't realize NBC even had programming at this hour. Turns out there's this show about paramedics, firefighters and cops saving lives in and around New York City that's from the producers of ER. On tonight's episode the parents of a missing child go all ballistic on a known child molester.

10:00pm
Crossing Jordan - NBC - Jordan (Jill Hennessy) tries to prove the innocence of detective Hoyt (Jerry O'Connell) when he is accused of using excessive force on a suspect who died after being arrested. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say she is successful.
